SAP Implementation

Schneider Electric Romania, the fully owned subsidiary of the French Group Schneider Electric, the world specialist in Electrical distribution and in Automation & Control, started up operations in 1997 and presently covers the most important counties in Romania. Shortly after its foundation, Schneider Electric Romania registered very good results, achieving in 2003 over 30 mil. Euro sales.

The challenge

In the conditions when the local business developed considerably - the volume of transactions recorded annual increases of 25-40% - the software system nolonger fit with the requirements. Finding a solution that would allow the company to manage its activities and business processes more efficiently and more transparently became imperative.

The project

“In order to respond more promptly to our customers requirements, we needed a complex software solution, that could be adapted to the specifics of our company. The present system based on an ERP solution from SAP meets all the requirements and additionally provides new facilities that will help us improve the quality of services offered such as, for example, the products customization according to the customer needs. The ERP solution ensures at the same time a better management of our large projects, allowing us a permanent control of the profitability indicators throughout the project roll- out” said Jacques Francescato, General Manager, Schneider Electric Romania.

The SAP solution was implemented within 6 months, in compliance with the conditions set initially and the system has currently a number of 50 users” added Moga.
