MIS for Collecting Medical Statistical Information

The Management Information System collects information from health care providers (hospitals, ambulatory, family doctors and national registries for cancer, diabetes and PCI/CABG) and consolidates them in the Center for Health Statistics.

The system supports the registration of routine data sets as well as clinic data sets in the same application. This application was installed in 42 counties, 4 regional offices and 3 national registries. Finally all the data is merged (from 42 counties, to 4 regional institutions) into one single database on the National Level (CHS) where the application is running on a cluster server.

Statistical reports are developed with the support of a standard statistical software application that is connected to the database on national level as well as on regional institution level(s).
